Mission: In the few years since our founding, OpenTheGovernment.org has made considerable strides in stimulating legislative and executive branch action and garnering media attention to the benefits of government openness. We leverage our work to broaden the base of national, state and local organizations active on right-to-know and anti-secrecy issues; advance the right to know what government is doing at the federal and state levels through legislation and other means; and shine an even brighter spotlight on government secrecy efforts.
